AMD to announce its new 7nm SoC at CES 2019

CES 2019 is scheduled to hold in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada, United States between 8 Jan 2019 – 11 Jan 2019. At this show, we expect the announcement of many technological advancements. Today, AMD CEO, Lisa Su, confirmed that the company's CES 2019 keynote speech will be held at 9:00 am Pacific Time on January 9 (1:10 pm Beijing time on January 10). In the event, AMD will announce the latest 7nm CPU and graphics card.

In a recent interview with the Consumer Technology Association, AMD CEO Lisa Su (Su Zifeng) stated that the company will release some "exciting news" at the CES event, confirming that it will discuss "next generation products" ". Most importantly, AMD also plans to discuss “deep partnerships” and how to accelerate the pace of innovation, but it is still unclear what this means. This year is expected to be AMD's strong technical year, and the company will turn to TSMC's 7nm manufacturing process to update the Zen2 and Navi architectures on CPU and GPU respectively. It is believed that some AMD 7nm 3000 series processors and 30X0 graphics cards have been sent out for upgrade but there is no official confirmation to this.
