After reports that Lenovo, HTC and Xiaomi had dropped the idea of using the Helio X20 in phones because of overheating problems, Mediatek have spoken back.
If rumours of Mediatek's Helio X20 overheating caused a case of deja vu for you yesterday, then prepare to get hit with another deja vu moment.
Just as Qualcomm did before them, Mediatek have also taken to social media in an attempt to quash rumours and state that there is not overheating issues with their 10 core processor.
We can't be sure if this is true, and if Mediatek are just hoping they can fix overheating problems before the chipset launches in phones later this month.
The Mediatek Helio X20 is a 10 core chipset with a tri-cluster design allowing the SoC to change gears depending on the tasks its asked to perform.
