OnePlus Ace 7 Pro reportedly beats a 2nm flagship in gaming, with a built-in fan

A fan inside a phone sounds like a gimmick until the numbers show up. New test data says the OnePlus Ace 7 Pro held a native 185 fps in Delta Force. A phone with a 2nm flagship chip managed 165 fps in the same scene. The Ace 7 Pro also ran cooler and kept a steadier frame rate. Digital Chat Station and Ice Universe both shared the results on Weibo today.

What the test shows

The scene was Delta Force at high quality in its battlefield mode. The Ace 7 Pro uses the older Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on 3nm. The rival phone is not named, only described as a 2nm flagship. According to the posts, a dual-channel air outlet design lets the chip run harder without throttling. Ice Universe says the phone has a cooling structure on the level of a graphics card.

How the fan works

An earlier schematic from Digital Chat Station, shows two airflow paths. Hot air leaves through the sides, away from your hands, while cooler air goes downward. An AI temperature sensor reportedly controls the fan. OnePlus China president Li Jie confirmed the Ace 7 series arrives this month, per IT Home. One post claims every model gets active cooling, but I could not find a second outlet confirming that.

What else we know

Leaks point to a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED screen at 185Hz and a battery of around 9,000mAh. The main camera is 200MP, and the Pro adds a 50MP periscope lens with 3.5x zoom. Reservations opened on OnePlus's China store on October 16. OnePlus has not shared a price. The Ace line usually stays in China, so most of us will wait for a rebrand. The 91mobiles site expects the Ace 7 to reach India as the OnePlus 16R.

Why I'm cautious

This is one game, tested by leakers, against an unnamed rival. The 185 fps figure also matches the leaked screen limit, so it shows the phone hitting its ceiling rather than going beyond it. Real reviews will tell us far more.

Even so, the fan interests me more than the number. Sustained performance is where most phones fall apart, and a fan is a very direct way to fix it. If the temperatures hold up in independent tests, gamers will have a good reason to look at this one.
