Oppo Find X9 Ultra Leak Teases Serious Camera Muscle and a Powerhouse MediaTek Chip

Oppo’s next flagship may be more than just an annual refresh. The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra lineup, if leaks are to be believed, could deliver not only hardware upgrades across the board—but also some seriously ambitious camera tech.

The details come from Digital Chat Station, a regular when it comes to smartphone leaks. In a recent post on Weibo, they claimed the entire Find X9 lineup is set for a major camera upgrade. The Ultra model, in particular, looks like Oppo’s next attempt to push mobile photography into pro territory.

What kind of upgrade? Try a dual periscope setup: one lens reportedly clocking in at 200MP, the other at 50MP. That’s not just overkill for marketing—if true, it opens up a range of zoom options and more clarity at a distance. It’s the kind of feature that could set the Ultra apart from every other flagship out there.

It’s not just about megapixels. The leak points to Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 and JN5 sensors being used in the telephoto array—serious hardware typically reserved for ultra-premium devices.

There’s more. Oppo might also roll out its spectral image sensor—previously exclusive to the Find X8 Ultra—to the standard Find X9 and X9 Pro. This sensor captures subtle color tones with greater accuracy, especially in tricky lighting or when photographing people. Skin tones, for example, look more natural and less “digitally corrected.”

In plain terms: better colors, fewer weird filters.

On the processing side, things are equally interesting. The leak suggests that the regular X9 models could be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500—a high-end chip that’s expected to compete directly with Qualcomm’s best.

As for the Find X9 Ultra? It may swap that out for Snapdragon’s 8 Elite 2—Qualcomm’s top-tier processor for late 2025. That combo would give Oppo’s lineup a clear performance ladder, catering to both power users and everyday buyers.

There’s still no official word from Oppo, but if these details pan out, the Find X9 Ultra could be one of the most ambitious camera phones we’ve seen all year. Between the dual periscope setup, high-end sensors, and upgraded internals, Oppo looks set to challenge the photography-first crowd in a serious way.
