More 8-core THL Monkey King 2 details surface

THL’s 8-core MT6592 Monkey King 2 has been talked about quite a bit recently, today more details of the phone surface but will it be the first MT6592 phone to launch?

THL’s Monkey King 2 will be going up against phones from Zopo, UMi, TCL, JiaYu, Mlais and others when it eventually launches. Just when it will launch is still a mystery though, but many insiders believe we will see it sometime this month.

Specs are still a little cloudy with the only firm detail being that the phone will feature the new 8-core Mediatek MT6592 processor, with up to 2GB RAM. From our own conversations with THL we believe the Monkey King 2 will also boast Corning Gorilla Glass, a removable battery and dual 13 mega-pixel cameras.

While THL believe that they could be the first to launch an 8-core MT6592 phone, we have heard that rival’s Zopo could beat them to it with at an event to be held in Beijing in a few weeks.
