Alcatel are making a real comeback, and it appears to be thanks to them teaming up with
Chinese phone maker
TCL. The latest
TCL made Alcatel branded model is the
One Touch Snap which comes with or without
LTE!
Alcatel started MWC on a high with the
launch of their new HD equipped
Idol X, not they are going out on a high with the newly announced Alcatel
One Touch Snap and
One Touch Snap LTE.
Although the phones come under the same name there are a number of key major differences between the
models other than
LTE support. The regular Snap uses a quad-core MTK
MT6589 processor with 1GB RAM, with a 4.5-inch QHD display and Android 4.2. The
LTE version get's a larger 4.65-inch FWVGA display, dual-core 1.4Ghz
Snapdragon CPU and Android 4.1.
Both phones have Dragontail displays to ward off knocks and scratches and 8 mega-pixel rear cameras.
No details on pricing just yet, but expect both phones to be available in Europe soon, while Chinese phone fans will have to wait for the TCL branded models to launch.
