If you are struggling over the decision which low-cost dual-core
Chinese phone you should buy, I have bad
news.... You decision just got a lot tougher thanks to the
AMOI N820.
The
AMOI N820 is an absolutely awesome
phone and costs only $157 or if you are in China 999 Yuan. Sure, you might say that there are cheaper dual-core
Chinese phones out there such as the
Beidou Little Pepper, but the
AMOI N820 has something which Beidou have been unable to get..... a launch date!
That’s right! While the $100
Beidou Little Pepper dual-core
Chinese phone sits in the ether becoming a distant
memory, the
AMOI N820 is bursting in to
Chinese stores with a blaze of orange fury in just 2 days (or 8th August if you read this tomorrow!).
The bright, loud orange exterior is a far cry some
Chinese phones we have seen recently (Xiaomi M2... you bland
phone you!) and is likely to appeal to the youth market much like the brightly coloured Xiaomi M1 Youth phones which were
launched earlier this year.
Behind the bright exterior the
AMOI handset gets a MediaTek MTK6577 dual core 1Ghz
processor, which is said to perform better than Qualcomm’s similar priced MSM8225 ship. 1GB
RAM helps things chug along while 4GB of built-in memory will allow for a few apps and can be used to store photos taken on the 5 mega-pixel rear
camera.
If 4GB is not enough then the
AMOI can accept a 32GB SD card giving you a full 36GB to fill with movies and games which you can enjoy on the rather large 4.
5 inch IPS
screen.
