Gionee S9 will their first dual camera phone

Gionee is jumping into the dual camera arms race with their own Gionee S9 smartphone coming soon.

Leaks from TENAA today have confirmed a new smartphone model from Chinese brand Gionee, the Gionee S9. The new phone should be arriving in stores in China within a few short weeks and will be Gionee’s first Android smartphone to have a dual rear camera design.

The Gionee S9 will come in F9 and F9T flavours with the only notable difference (at this stage) being the colours of each device. The S9 will come in Gold while the S9T will come in black.

Specs for the handset will be a 5.5-inch FHD display with 2.5D glass screen, 1.8Ghz 8core chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory, 3000mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and front 13 megapixel main camera.

The rear camera design will include a main 13 megapixel sensor and secondary 5 megapixel sensor for adding depth and after focus features.

Gionee haven’t said anything official about the new S9 but Chinese sources say the phone will ship from 2800 Yuan.
