Hisense U978 launched with 5.5" screen and quad-core processor

China gets another large screen smartphone with a low cost processor from Mediatek!

Hisense unveiled their U978 smartphone earlier today. The device features a 5.5-inch screen and a quad-core Mediatek processor, and although pricing hasn't been revealed yet, it isn't hard to guess that this will be another budget option. Full specifications of the device include 5.5-inch qHD screen, MT6582M quad-core processor operating at 1.3GHz, 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. Imaging is taken care of by a combination of a 5 mega-pixel rear and a 0.3 mega-pixel (VGA) front camera. The device has dual SIM support and comes with a 2,500mAh battery.
