New Sharp mobile phone spotted on FCC with 7240mAh battery and Dimensity 700 SoC

Sharp released the 2023 Aquos series mobile phone product lineup last month. This new series includes the flagship Aquos R8, Aquos R8 Pro, and the mid-range Aquos Wish 3. According to the Japanese media Sumahodigest, Sharp recently has a new phone that has passed the FCC certification. According to the report, the code name of Sharp's new device that appeared in the FCC database is APYHRO00327. The FCC listing shows that the mobile phone will come with an MT6833 SoC, which is the Dimensity 700 chip. Recall that the mid-range Aquos Wish 3 also uses the same Dimensity 700 chip.

In addition to the chip, the listing also reveals a few details about the coming mobile phone. The listing reveals that this device will use dual 3620mAh batteries. This means that the total battery package of this mobile phone is as high as 7240mAh. The FCC database also shows that this mid-range mobile phone will support WiFi 6. Sumahodigest believes that this mobile phone has a small number of LTE frequency band certifications, and it may be a custom device that Sharp cooperated with Japanese operators.

What to expect

As of now, we do not know what to expect from the upcoming phone from Sharp. However, its latest mobile phone, Aquos R8 Pro has a 6.60-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2730 pixels by 1260 pixels. The phone is dual SIM and has connectivity options including Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also has 3D face recognition and a fingerprint sensor. Though the company is not so active in the mobile phone market, it has some other phones like Aquos V6 Plus, Aquos V6, Aquos Wish, Aquos zero6, Aquos sense5G, Aquos sense4 plus, Aquos Zero 2, Aquos R5G etc.

It is important to note that Sharp mobile phones are sold only in Japan and account for a small market share in the country.
