Zopo getting ready to
launch their 2nd
octacore Android phone of the year, this time an
octacore version of the
Zopo ZP980+ but there is more to the
specs than just a
processor update.
We are still waiting on confirmation from Zopo International, but Chinese sources are telling us that the upcoming ocatcore Zopo ZP980+ will go on sale soon and will feature
updated hardware.
As the name suggests one of the biggest changes for the Zopo ZP980+ is the inclusion of an 8-core 1.7Ghz
MT6592 processor. Both TD-SCDMA and WCDMA versions will be support, but there is no 4G LTE support yet (news of this is coming soon though).
Other updates come in the form of a new 5-inch FHD 1920 x
1080 LTPS display. An LTPS display is also used on the ZP998 allowing for use when the display is damp or even when using gloves. It is also great to see that the new
phone will also get
NFC, OTG and built-in electronic compass.
The main
camera also gets improved and will be a 14 mega-pixel F2.2 aperture model with sapphire glass lens! The rest of the
phone appears to be the same as the original
Zopo ZP980 including a 5 mega-pixel front camera, 2000mAh battery and body dimensions of 143.3 x 70 x 8.5mm.
