Realme XT silently announced with 64MP camera and Snapdragon 712

We all know that Redmi is about to release the Redmi Note 8 series that until the moment would debut the 64MP camera technology. It would be a first in the industry, and well, seems that Redmi won't take this crown after all. Realme went ahead with its Realme XT. Apparently, the company decided to speed up its announcement to ruin Xiaomi's plans.

The Realme XT was sent to several media representatives in India, effectively making it the first smartphone with a 64MP camera in their hands. However, there is a small catch, while the handset is available for some people, there are no details about features, pricing, and availability.

The handset is exactly what rumors have been saying - A Realme 5 Pro with improved camera and one more RAM variant. Furthermore, the handset still ships with Snapdragon 712 SoC, 4,000 mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging. Of course, the stunning 64MP shots are generated thanks to a powerful quad-camera setup.

According to rumors, the Realme XT will be available in the second half of September. Despite this, it will already be known as the world's first 64MP smartphone. The handset will come first in India, and hopefully, Realme will bring it to other markets after the initial release.
