Ten thousand milliamp-hours. In a phone. That's the headline — and it's a big one. Tipster Smart Pikachu claims the Redmi Turbo 6 Max is currently being tested with a 10,000mAh battery. If that holds at launch, it would be the largest battery ever fitted to a Redmi device. Not a tablet. A phone.

What Else Do We Know?

The battery is the freshest detail. But leaks have been building for a while. Tipster Digital Chat Station previously revealed the Turbo 6 Max will feature a 7-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution, powered by a 3nm Dimensity 9-series chipset. The exact chip name isn't confirmed yet. The Dimensity 9600s is the current best guess.

The Design Sounds Different

Smart Pikachu also claims the phone will feature a minimalist dual-camera setup on the rear. Some reports suggest it may adopt a horizontal camera module — a distinct look compared to the previous generation. That's a notable shift. Most Android flagships are going bigger on cameras, not leaner. Redmi seems to be doing the opposite here.
The Redmi Turbo 6 Max is reportedly in testing with a 10,000mAh battery — the largest ever on a Redmi phone — alongside a 7-inch 2K OLED display, a 3nm Dimensity 9-series chip, IP68/IP69 rating, and a January launch window confirmed by two independent tipsters.

Built for Durability Too

The Turbo 6 Max is expected to feature a metal middle frame and an IP68/IP69-rated body. That's proper waterproofing — not just splash resistance. Security is handled by an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. All solid specs for a performance-focused device.

January Launch — Two Sources Agree

Here's where it gets more credible. Both Smart Pikachu and Digital Chat Station independently point to a January launch window for the Turbo 6 Max. Two separate tipsters landing on the same timeframe isn't a coincidence. That's probably close to accurate.

One Thing Worth Watching

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is also rumored to pack a 10,000mAh battery. So there's a real question of whether the Turbo 6 Max ends up being truly unique on that front — or just one of two Redmi phones chasing the same milestone. Either way, 10,000mAh in a mainstream smartphone says a lot about where the battery arms race is heading
