In a recent battery life test, the Galaxy S24 Ultra outperformed the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This test, conducted by a well-known YouTube channel, simulated real-world usage scenarios. The new Applephonesshowed improvements over previous models, but Samsung's current flagship performed better.
Galaxy S24 Ultra Beats Apple iPhone 16 Series in Mrwhosetheboss's Battery Life Test
During launch, Apple boasted of significant battery improvements in the iPhone 16 series. But real-world tests have painted a different picture. The company claimed the Pro Max could deliver four extra hours of video playback. As for the base models, Apple said they could offer an extra two hours of playback over the predecessors.
However, tech YouTuber MrWhosetheboss's recent test revealed that these claims might be exaggerated. The rigorous battery test simulated daily usage. That includes using apps like social media, YouTube, and Slack on the phones.
For reference, the iPhone 16 Pro Max came in second. The top-end Apple phone had a respectable 11 hours and 22 minutes. Of course, this is a noticeable improvement over the predecessor, which had 9 hours and 35 minutes. But it's not enough to beat the current Galaxy flagship.
As for the remaining iPhone 16 models, they demonstrated improved battery life compared to their predecessors. The 16 Plus and Pro both lasted for 8 hours and 19 minutes. On the other hand, the standard iPhone 16 matched that time. Although these results represent a step forward for Apple, they still fell short of the exceptional endurance offered by the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
