Samsung usually has the Galaxy Series and the Galaxy Note series as its regular flagships for the year. However, for the past few years, the company has not released any smartphone in the Note series. The last Samsung Galaxy Note series was released in 2020. In a few months, it will be two years since the last Note series hit the market. The Note series is known for its use of a Stylus. However, while the Note series stayed away from the market, the Galaxy S series started inheriting some of its exclusive features. For instance, the Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with a stylus, a feature that is previously reserved for the Note series.
Furthermore, the general outlook of the Galaxy S series Ultra model feels like a Note series. This spark speculation that the company will discontinue the Note series. There were also some reports that the Galaxy S Ultra models will take over the Note series. Nevertheless, there is no official statement from the company regarding the Samsung Galaxy Note series.
However, a recent leak gives a glimpse of hope that the Galaxy Note series is not dead. For now, it's almost certain that the Galaxy Note series will return, but in a different way. In a leaked Samsung press material, the words "galaxy 2022, galaxy s series, galaxy note series" appeared. This obviously indicates that the Samsung Galaxy Note series is not dead.
At the same time, it is certain that this year's Galaxy Note series will still come with a stylus. Furthermore, it will incorporate some Galaxy S series mobile phone elements. This also put an end to the speculations that the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra model will replace the Note series. Obviously, Samsung is not giving up on the popular Galaxy Note series. However, we do not exactly know why the company decided to take a break. Despite the leak, we can not be certain whether or not the Galaxy Note series will hit the market this year. All we can say for now is that the Note series is still in the works.
In related news, Samsung Netherlands official website listed a 45W charger and USB-C data cable set. These accessories are for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and S22 Ultra. The price of these accessories is about 50.82 euro which is not cheap. Generally speaking, the positioning of the Galaxy Note series is higher than that of the Galaxy S series. It appears that the Note series will support power charging above 45W.
