Samsung Galaxy S21+ battery spotted with 4,800mAh capacity

One could think that Samsung is taking some rest after completing its 2020 flagship portfolio. Well, if a company is at the top of the market, it can never rest! Apart from the mid-range smartphones that are set to come in the coming months, the company already started the development and preparation of the upcoming Galaxy S21 trio. A couple of days ago, the Galaxy S21 Ultra had its 5,000mAh battery revealed by the TUV Rheinland certification. Now, the S21+ battery was spotted in the Safety Korea certificate.

According to the certification, the smartphone comes with a 4,660mAh rated battery capacity and a 4,800mAh typical capacity. This is slightly below the capacity available on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But users probably will not feel a big disparity between these two smartphones' battery life.

Interestingly enough, Safety Korea brings the last piece we needed to understand the battery life provided by the next year's S21 smartphones. The Galaxy S21 was spotted on the 3C listing with a 3,800mAh rated capacity and a typical capacity of around 4,000mAh. So the battery life grows progressively from the vanilla to the high-end Ultra model.

The Galaxy S21 trio is still several months away. However, considering how early important details are leaking, we don't think there'll be many secrets until February 2021.

According to the GeekBench benchmark, the Galaxy S21 exynos2100 motherboard and the processor has an eight-core architecture. The small core frequency is 2.21GHz, and the GPU is the Mali-G78. But the benchmark entry did not disclose the specific operation of these cores. However, according to recent rumors, Exynos 1000 (the name is still uncertain) has a core configuration of 1+3+4. This simply means there is one main core, three performance cores, and four energy-saving cores.

This variant in particular comes with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 11. These are preliminary details. Galaxy S21 is likely to have an additional RAM version. Particularly, we have heard there will be a 16GB LPDDR5 version. If so, it will become the fastest model on the market.

As for the benchmark score, we can see that the performance of the Exynos 1000 chipset is close to that of the Snapdragon 865+. In the single-core test, the Galaxy S21 scored 1038 points, and the multi-core score was 3060 points. In contrast, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (Snapdragon 865+) scored about 960/3050 in the single-core/multi-core test. The Galaxy Note 20 with the Exynos 990 scored 885/2580.
