Synrgic are carving a name for themselves in the world. Instead of following the rest of the
Chinese factories down the busy clone and Shanzhai path, Synrgic have designed a great looking range of tasty tablets. Today we going to take a look at the Synergic Dreambook
Full details and images after the jump!
Synergic are heading down a new path for Chinese manufacturers and are setting up their own range of great looking, well spec’d and premium priced tablets.
There are currently 4 tablets in the Synrgic line up all two
7 inch tablets called the
W7 and S7 and two 8 inch tablets named W8 and S8.
The Dreambook pictured here costs around 2900 Yuan ($440) aka iPad and Samsung S territory and as it’s higher price would suggest it gets some great looking features.
The screen is a TFT capacitive model with multi-touch support and a resolution of 1024x600 which is more than capable of producing great pictures and vibrant colours.
A whole assortment of plugs and ports pepper the outside of the stylish, yet thick body. An SD card reader, SIM card slot for 3G, mini USB plus HDMI and 3. head jack.
There’s also a 2 mega-pixel camera, ambient light sensor, a 3 axis accelerometer and assisted GPS. That SIM card slot isn’t just there for 3G internet access either as the Dreambook comes with built in hardware with support for WCDMA, HSPA,CDMA and TD SCDMA.
Under the glossy exterior the
tablet/mega boast a 1Ghz Freescale iMX515 Cortex A8 CPU, 512mb DDR2 RAM, 8GB of NAND flash memory and a battery with enough juice to last you for 6 hours.
Android 2.2 is pre-installed, meaning you get Flash video support on websites plus the
Android Market place so you can install more apps as you need them.
Overall dimensions or the are 195 x 118 x 14. with a very respectable 450 gram weight with the battery.
The Dreambook is a very well designed and should really have Samsung a little worried, but we can’t help but think that price is going to put most potential buyers off. If only it came in at a more wallet friendly price we would have one for ourselves!
