China Ditching Windows For Homegrown O.S

Standard Software have just struck a with the National University of Defense Technology to develop an alternate to Microsoft’s Windows. The move to develop a homegrown alternative to the popular Windows platform has come due to concerns over national and industrial development. The deal, signed yesterday is for designed for national defense and civil use, but could eventually enter the mainstream and on to personal computers.
