China’s rail network is already the longest operational railway in the world with over 7,500 kilometers of track, but that's not enough. Next year trains hope to beat the 574.8 km/h speed record set by the French in 2007. Last Friday the CRH-380A reached the impressive speed of 486.1 km/h, but will 12 months be enough for engineers to squeeze another 100 km/h out of it?
