Vivo have confirmed a lower than normal
price for their Vivo Y33 smartphone with a RRP of 1198 Yuan ($192).
Vivo aren’t known for being a low-cost phone maker, but they do want to dabble in the exciting entry-level market and have just announced the pricing of their Vivo Y33 smartphone.
Costing 1198 Yuan in China, the Vivo Y33 does seem a little overpriced in comparison to Xiaomi’s or Meizu’s offerings, but there are the added features of high quality audio and a slimmer and more stylish appearance.
As for the hardware the Vivo Y33 will have a 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 8 mega-pixel main camera, 5 mega-pixel rear, 2200mAh battery, dual SIM, and 1GB RAM and 8GB memory. The amount of RAM is the real killer of an otherwise good looking budget option.
The Y33 will ship with FunTouch based on Android 5.0 and is said to look more or less identical to the
Vivo X5 Pro. No word on an Indian or European
launch yet, but there is the possibility.
