JiaYu have updated their forum with news of the impending launch of the dual-core JiaYu G2 and have also hinted that JiaYu G3 orders will be shipping soon!
According to a thread over at JiaYu’s popular forum the new and improved dual-core version of the JiaYu G2 will be on sale next week and potential customers should keep an eye open for updates so that they can place pre-orders.
The updated version of the JiaYu G2 features a dual-core MT6577 CPU which has boosted performance of this budget phone which will retails from as little as $100!

For those of you still waiting for the JiaYu G3, JiaYu have announced that they have 5000 unit ready for shipping and will be contacting customers who have pre-ordered them for full payment soon. It is not clear is this means JiaYu have received their network licence or not Β but at least they are making progress even though it is only 5000 JiaYu G3 phones at a time!
Are you still waiting for the JiaYu G3 or do you plan for one of the new quad-core MT6588 phones which we are likely to see in time for Christmas?
What a cocktease Jiayu is. IΒ΄m this close to cancelling my order for a G3 and get something else that is already in the market; if this is a marketing stunt then they are pushing it too far by now.

Lol. I’ve been waiting for this phone since June. Another month wont matter to me now that I’ve preordered. As long as I will get the phone one day and be satisfied.

at fastcardtech they hav put the updated version of jiayu g2 as available for 512 mb n 1gb ram frm the past two weeks. thy even told that it will ship immeadiately! dat means thy r lying!! y lie to customers!? thy can keep the status as pre order but thy didnt n most customers even questioned thm wether the updated version is in stock or not n the answer from thm is yes n thy told thy wil ship immeadiately!

LOL I just broke my X-310 Titan MTK 6575 today. Tried re-soldering components, but to no avail. I’ll be ordering the G3 as soon as they start shipping it… I’ve been waiting for months and now that my phone is K.I.A. I need a new one asap. Hope I’ll luck out with the ZopoMobileShop contest!

i think i will be waiting for the MTK6588 phones which will be cheaper and better hopefully π
mtk6588 will be available only january, next year. i will wait g3 and buy it end of october after first user reviews. i have no rush because i simply own galaxy s2.
I also cancelled my pre-order for the G3. I’ll just wait till it’s out there and read some previews. Maybe by that time there is alrdy an other good phone for sale.
Still, It looks like all chinese phone’s are only pre-saling atm for the last months.
@farookb4u I have seen so many reports of FCT being scam artists, and there are a lot of blogs that appear to be by employees/stooges that I would never trust them.
This 5000 units all will go to the pre-orders? So wholesalers (and so we) will need to wait.
Lets hope they will/can scale up production fast :D! Thats the only thing we can do.

I just got a message from my seller which stated that Jiayu will start production not before 1/10/2012 because of an investigation by the Chinese government. Maybe about the licence, it was not more specific.
So we will have to wait a bit more….
I got a message today from the company I preordered my G3 and they are telling this : ” Today we received call from Jaiyu factory the phone production time will be delay to 01/10/2012
They said their company account is investigate by China government so they will be busy for that
so production Jiayu g3 will be delay we will received on 1th oct. nobody can get products before that time “

We also got a delay message last monday, Jiayu told there sales man that they had issues sourcing processors (From Focalprice). But then Any game with the news that nothing was wrong.
Then my Alibaba sellers said almost the same. They had contact with Jiayu and for there order there was a delay till about 1/10.
So could it be that ”normal” pre-orders are all delivered till 31/9 and that after that date wholesale clients / other users get there orders?
Should explane a lot…
