OnePlus Confirms Android 17 Update Dates for 6 Phones and Tablets

OnePlus has revealed exactly when six of its phones and tablets will receive the Android 17 update in November. The schedule includes the OnePlus 12, OnePlus Open, OnePlus 13R, and two Nord models, along with the Pad 3.

There is one important change this year. OnePlus devices will receive Android 17 through ColorOS 17, rather than the familiar OxygenOS 17. The new schedule also replaces the earlier broad November rollout window with specific dates.

Here are the confirmed rollout dates shared through the official OnePlus community:

The OnePlus 13R is already scheduled for the first wave, while owners of the OnePlus 12 will have to wait until November 17. The company's first foldable, the OnePlus Open, follows on November 24.

The final November wave includes two Nord phones. This is also good news for users who don't own one of OnePlus' more expensive flagship models.

There is another big change with this update. OnePlus is moving away from OxygenOS and will use OPPO's ColorOS 17 on supported devices.

The new software is based on Android 17. It brings smoother animations, a refreshed look, better system performance, and new AI tools. This marks a major change for OnePlus users, even if some parts of the two systems already look alike.

More phones will follow in December. The OnePlus 11, OnePlus 12R, Nord 5, and Pad 2 are among the next models on the list. Other devices are due in early 2027.

The update dates are good news, but the move to ColorOS is the bigger story. OnePlus has built its name around OxygenOS, so this change may not please every fan.

I also think the update dates need a small warning. They mark the start of each rollout, not the day every user will get it. OnePlus will send the update in stages, and the wait may vary by region.
