Newman suddenly sprung the new Newman K1 on us earlier this week, and they are already handing out free phones to lucky Newman forum members!

Newman fans have been conscripted into promoting the latest K1 smartphone with prizes going to the fans who are able to promote the new flagship MTK phone to the largest audience. 10 lucky people will receive a 5-inch quad-core Newman K1 before the phone officially launches in the giveaway which started a few days ago.

The Newman K1, which will undergo a name change before launching, features a 1.2Ghz quad-core MT6589 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 5-inch 720p display, 2 mega-pixel front and 13 mega-pixel rear cameras.

    A Bummer my Chinese sucks..otherwise I would be on the newman forum right now trying to get hold of one and test it. Would be cool to be the first guy in Europe having one.

    I’m glad with my Newman N2 with MIUI rom now…speaking of which…the picture in this article shows a MIUI lock screen. Is the K1 featuring MIUI out of the box?!

    I think this phone is Freelander i30 with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Nice phone.

    Please ask someone from Newman to change that ugly font from their logo! They can run a logo contest just as they did with the name for this K1 phone.

    looks like shitty phone to me, only 1.2ghz quad core? least if it was 1.5ghz..
