Last night Xiaomi announced that they would announce something new at 10am this morning, well it’s nearly 12 now so what was all the fuss about?
10am came and went this morning with Xiaomi rejigging the time to 11am and when the hour finally came what was it all about? We’ll there was no Xiaomi Smart TV or Red Rice announcement, but there was something plus a few clues at what could be lurking around the corner.

The announcement was to do with the upcoming Xiaomi micro-movie named “1699 graduation season” which will feature a guest appearance from Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun (wow big news……).
So July 5th is the date of the movie, but couldn’t this also be the perfect day to announce Xiaomi’s Android smart TV also? And what about the name? 1699 certainly looks like a price to us, and could hint at a price drop for the current Xiaomi Mi2s!
Nothing is for sure, just that Xiaomi do have a lot in store for us let’s just hope we don’t need to wait to long to see the goods!

that would be too cheap. i expect the best from the mi3, i want it to spare no expenses
hopefully mi3 will has these features:
1) backlight for the virtual buttons (back home settings)
2) battery protection from overcharging
3) notification sound for battery low, charging start and charge complete
