Has Meizu’s reign come to an early end? Coolpad are hoping so with the 3 new Coolpad X7 phones costing from just 1599 Yuan.
Earlier today we posted some details about the newly launched Coolpad X7 phone with octacore MT6595 processor and LTE. Now with the launch over more details have been uncovered to get the bigger picture behind the phone.
As mentioned earlier, Coolpad want the X7 to compete with the Lenovo Vibe X7 and Meizu MX4 (both of which run a similar MT6595 chipset), but with an alloy body, glass front and rear and a 5.2-inch Super Amoled display, the Coolpad looks decidedly tastier!
Camera details which were missing earlier have now been revealed as a 13 mega-pixel, F1.8 camera on the rear and 8 mega-pixel up front.

3 versions of the CoolPad X7 will be available ranging from a 1599 Yuan MT6595 with 2GB RAM and single 4G sim, 1699 Yuan version with dual 4G SIM and a 1999 Yuan model boasting a Snapdragon 801 processsor!

on aliexpress it’s said 2700mah , on the smaller side , i would say.
Shame they didn’t offer different screen sizes instead of the 801 option which seems a little redundant. I would have the Miezu over this one given the choice.
Yea I will have the Meizu over this one for sure. I could’ve considered this if not for the <5.5 inch screen size.
if the battery is alright i would pick the middle option for dualsim’ness over meizu, but only for this. and i don’t see a reason of skipping the hardware buttons again. or a nice physical button like meizu does.
A genuine doubt : Why do no one consider mtk6595 zopo 3x for $280 ???!!!… it is a steal…anyone ??
just my impression: it’s ugly and big.
i found an info (don’t trust me as a reliable source), that coolpad has 2700mah battery, 6.45 mm thickness and starts selling TODAY (first two options). all that would be quite cool!
but for now i think i like umi zero a little bit more.
Because the Zopo 3x has a mt6595M prozessor and not a mt6595, so you can’t record in ultra hd (4k) and you are not able to record videos in 480fps, just in 90-120fps.
