Ulefone are planning to launch a new budget version of their latest flagship Be Touch model, named simply the Ulefone Be Touch 2.
The current Ulefone Be Touch some with 2.5D display, fingerprint scanner, 3GB RAM and MT6752 chipset for $219.99. It’s a great feeling phone and with nice features such as a Sony camera and Android 5.0 it is a quality flagship too.
Apparently though, Ulefone want to bring similar features to a new lower cost model with a planned retail cost of only $189.99. From what our sources have told us the new model will be named the Ulefone Be Touch 2 and feature a few details to help reduce the overall cost.
Gizchina News of the week
The chipset will be replaced with a MT6573 64bit chip and RAM reduced to 2GB RAM to help cut the cost around $30 less than the current Be Touch model. Parts which will remain unchanged are the 13 mega-pixel camera (although we don’t know if it will remain a Sony sensor), 16GB memory, 2550mAh battery and 720p 2.5D display.
What do you think of a lower cost Be Touch, do you think the reduction in power might harm the overall performance? Or do you welcome the new low price?

Where did they get their MBA’s man? This is supreme stupid at the highest level,i mean, who launch a regular device and 1 month later launch an even worst one?
Flagship killer shenzen style:shit battery,720p with fcked-up bezels and no notification led,how can we make this worst to fill a gap who will never ever heard of ulefone?
I agree that the lower cost be touch is kind of a dumb idea but the regular be touch is a really great phone.
They should release this as the Be Touch- (minus).. like a lower cost version of the original. That would be understandable and it’s probably what they were going for they just got the naming wrong. Meizu is making the same mistake with the Meizu M2 Note…
I don’t think they will discontinue the original Be Touch and hopefully neither will Meizu with the M1 Note.
I believe that will be a higher spc.
I agree with you, and I had the Be Touch before and many problems with it… So I now ordered a Elephone P7000 and i’m plenty satisfied ! For now, you could look at the P8000 there are discounts so it’s really cheap now if you can get coupon !
Hah fuck off mate it’s better than your iphone shit
It’s not a horrible idea if you have a great product and are trying to build off the name and success of that product. Many people want the product that can’t afford so they offer a newer one with lower price/specs. Whether the Be Touch is that type of product is another story.
Noooooo! Was actually expecting the 2 to be the upgraded “Plus” version with 1920×1080 display, larger battery (3500mah+), and possibly larger display (huawei mate 7 style). Oh well, but either way, the Be Touch has been surprisingly nice and smooth to use despite being such an early critic. The battery life could be better, but at least I can quick swap a spare battery from AliExpress.
As far as naming, I think Ulefone should have called this newer version the Ulefone Be Touch “Mini” or “Limited”. I think the 2 implies “successor” or “next generation” or “upgrade”, and many people (such as myself) were expecting more advanced and impressive specs. #disappointed #betterlucknexttime
i dont know what to say…

I want to buy Be Touch, now please tell me buy be touch or be touch 2?
They might be a budget version of Be Touch, but may not be named Be Touch 2. Some russia media already release the specs of Be Touch 2, an upgraded version in fact. 1080P display, 3050mAh Battery, and Android 5.1 http://www.ixbt.com/news/2015/06/05/ulefone-be-touch-2-1920-1080.html
