iQOO just slipped another model into the Z11 family without much fanfare. The Z11i is now officially on sale in China, targeting the budget end of the market with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, a large 6,500mAh battery, and a starting price of CNY 1,299 — roughly $190. It won't headline any benchmark charts. But at that price, it doesn't need to.

A Budget Phone That Doesn't Pretend to Be More

The Z11i sits squarely below the Z11 and Z11x in iQOO's lineup — both of which launched earlier this year with significantly larger batteries (9,020mAh and 7,050mAh respectively) and more capable chipsets. The Z11i doesn't try to compete with those. It's a different product for a different buyer: someone who wants a reliable 5G phone under $200 that lasts through a full day without sweating about the charger.
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is a capable enough chip for everyday tasks — streaming, social media, light gaming. Paired with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR4X RAM, the performance headroom isn't vast, but it's appropriate for what this phone is trying to do. The 15W charging speed, though, is the obvious weak link. On a 6,500mAh cell, you're looking at a full charge time of over two hours. Budget buyers tolerate that — but it's worth knowing upfront.

"A 6,500mAh battery and IP65 water resistance at $190 is a reasonable proposition. The RGB ring light around the rear camera is an unexpected design flourish for a phone at this price — iQOO clearly knows its audience."

Display and Camera — Honest Expectations

The 6.74-inch HD+ LCD at 120Hz is fine for the tier. HD+ means a 1,600×720 resolution — visible pixel density at close range, but unlikely to bother anyone watching YouTube or scrolling feeds. The 1,200 nits brightness claim makes outdoor use practical, which matters more at this price point than pixel count.
The camera setup is minimal. A single 13MP rear sensor with LED flash — plus an RGB ring light that iQOO includes presumably because it plays well with the Z11i's likely younger target audience. The 5MP selfie camera sitting in a waterdrop notch rounds things out. Don't expect computational photography magic here. Do expect serviceable snapshots in decent light.

The Extras That Matter

A 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual 5G SIM support, Bluetooth 5.4, and IP65 dust and water resistance are all present. That IP65 rating — splash proof against low-pressure water jets — is notably better than what many competitors offer at this price. It won't survive a pool, but it'll handle rain and the occasional bathroom counter.
Three colorways: Desert Gold, Ink Shadow, and Qingfeng (a light blue). On sale now in China — no global availability has been announced.
