Galaxy S6-esque Doogee F3 coming this August

I don’t know what’s happened to Doogee, but the company has suddenly turned hyperactive. Of course, no real phones as such, but they’re at least sending out a lot of info,

Only yesterday did we report about the upcoming DG700 Pro which would have a very powerful set of specifications. Today, news about the Doogee F3 reached our desks.

The F3 looks a lot like the Galaxy S6, but seems different enough to not be called a clone. Specifications of the phone include a 5-inch HD display, the new MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 2200mAh battery. Cameras, or at least the 13 mega-pixel main camera on the rear, will be a Samsung unit — a far cry from the usual IMX214 that you get to see.

Gizchina News of the week

Pricing is set at US$149, which although isn’t crazy impressive, does sound good for a phone with a decent set of specs and more importantly, good build quality, which we hope will be the case with the Doogee F3. Surprisingly, there’s no mention of a fingerprint scanner which seems to have become staple for Chinese phones.

It looks pretty good, looks to be a lot thicker than the S6 and the rear camera is kinda unsightly but overall not bad.

It’s probably going to break down after 3 months like most of their phones

I still have my first Doogee phone working like the first time I got it about 2 years ago, a DG100.

Also sold about 200 Doogee phones and only one was a total disaster due a corrupted 1GB+8GB chip and about 5-6 DG580 suffered from pressure points, but yeah I just sold DG800, DG310, DG580 and DG280 (well and 3 DG700 for a client) and I think those are their most solid phones, right now I’m back to using a DG580 since I sold my Nubia Z7 Mini and I’m waiting on my Mi4 that will replace it, and my only complain from coming from a 2014 flagship to a budget phone is that MiBand disconnects all the time.

i too think it resembles the S6 Edge. Similarly, their other product Doogee Y100x reported a ‘bezel-less’ design which is very good looking.

Looks like a good phone but I can not see any Doogee phone selling well in the UK or USA, only because of the name Doogee and Dodgy are just too similar, I can just see a group of friends talking and the question goes what’s your phone brand? the answer is Doogee the response is hey dude you bought a dodgy phone!!!.

Take a look at this link below and the name Doogee suddenly doesn’t sound so bad. These phones aren’t really meant for US sales to begin with though, any sales in the US/UK are minor. They are meant for the developing countries of the world.

Great link so doogee doesn’t sound as bad as “wack off ” but personally I think it’s a great phone but bad name. I used to work for a computer company and one of our competitors in the 1980’s was Wang and the US parent company had a marketing coup and decided to call the support company “Wang Care” the name did not last long.

So now we’re supposed to pay attention to smartphone name? So if a chinese phone is on par with the last flagship of samsung and cheaper people won’t buy it cuz it’s name is Lewoni or shamushi??
      Really?? Really?? You’re serious???

those companies did not understand that people dont want this MT6753 low chip and prefer MT6752 with mali760 and not mali720
those companies did not understand that 3,000 battery is the minimum.

a gimmick to send data by touching a device, in japan they also use it to pay the subway. In usa and europ it’s as useful as a second pair of laces since bluetooth does the job perfectly..
But you know they want it to brag

not bad at 150$ but the battery coulda used some work (3000 mah should be minimum standard nowadays!)
also … i’d like a review of this galaxy lookalike , considering how wannabees have MISERABLY failed (Landvo S6) , this one looks good for its price…
