List of Lenovo devices getting Android Marshmallow leaks online

A Weibo user from China recently leaked screenshots from a Lenovo group meeting online. While most of it was pointless information that was either irrelevant or already known, one slide that piqued everyone’s interest was a screenshot of a list of Lenovo devices that will be receiving the Android Marshmallow update. So let’s take closer look at this slide and extract all the data we can from.

Gizchina News of the week

Right off the bat, we can see that the earliest devices to be updated are the Lenovo K3 Note, Vibe X3 and Vibe P1, which are arguably among their most popular devices to date. These devices will be updated in March of 2016. Following that are different variants of the K3 Note and Vibe X3, as well as the A7000 in April, the Vibe P1 and S1 in May, and the A7000+ in July.

Lenovo is finally hitting their stride as a smartphone manufacturer having managed to make some pretty good devices throughout the year, with decent software support as well. What do you think of the list? Is this a good sign to come from Lenovo, or is it just empty promises? Tell us in the comments below.

No Vibe Z2, that was a good phone that was ruined by horrendous software and they never even attempted to fix it, considering it was their flagship offering I’m slightly surprised it’s not in this list.
