LeTV tells us to watch for their Snapdragon 820 phone tomorrow at CES

LeTV have teased again that they plan to release a Snapdragon 820 phone at CES, tomorrow in fact!

LeTV have been hinting at the possibility of releasing a Snapdragon 820 phone for months already, but finally it is all about to pay off with the company announcing their new phone tomorrow at an event at CES.

The teaser which was posted by LeTV today has the numbers ‘8’ ‘2’ ‘0’ highlighted which is an obvious nod to which processor will be found lurking in their latest flagship devices. While the teaser doesn’t mention other specific details it does give us our first semi-official glimpse of the design of the phone and a new narrower border design.

For the rest of the details we will have to rely on earlier benchmarks and leaks spotted late last year. If those leaks are accurate then expect the new LeTV phone to be an updated LeTV Le1 Pro (Le2 Pro?) with 4GB RAM, 64GB memory, 2K display and 21 mega-pixel main camera (so similar specs to current flagship LeTV phones).

Will LeTV have any other secrets up their sleeve for CES tomorrow? Keep posted to find out.

I will be at CES on the 7th with Microsoft. Hope I have enough time to check out some of the Chinese phone exhibits. I know Lenovo, LeTV and Huawei are all making announcements.

Thats a long way to go for 1 day. I thought Microsoft were no longer going there as it didn’t fit in with their release cycle or something, sure thats what they said last year.

It’s about a 5 hour flight for me. I get in the night of the 6th and leave the night of the 7th. I would be there the entire time but I have some family commitments the other days.

We don’t have an “official” presence at CES, but they want us at every tech show. I am actually going to be there on behalf of some of Msofts partners. Expect to hear a lot of new Windows 10 devices launching. My PR team will be at various exhibits talking about Windows 10 and the unified platform for Tablets/Laptops/Xbox/Phones. I am told there also might be a few new Windows 10 phones launching at CES.

Itl be awesone belive me , bad that i cant go this year 😛 but ill be at ifa tho
(thats what you get for going at e3 instead of CES ) If you have only 1 day there i suggest you to move quickly because last year in my 3 days i spent there it was very tempting B’cuz there was a lot of cool stuff there ( did not see chinese phones at all tho) Dont waste your time at the asus Booth , ( had like its own campus lol ) their staff is very insistent , and if theyll see you with a filmmaker kit (ex Canon t5i + Rode videomic + yongnuo flash and stuff) they assault you or keep in there for some time , i was rather just searching for stuff…

Going by the build quality and the price of the recent letv 1s, this should be a beast of a phone for a rather spectacular price (here’s hoping anyways, ha) I’ve got high hopes for it. I just hope it hits the European shores !
