Vivo X7 spy shot confirms new fingerprint scanner location

Vivo’s upcoming Vivo X7 smartphone is spied in camouflage confirming front fingerprint scanner.

If, like me, you have been a big fan of the speedy fingerprint scanner on the latest Vivo phones then the news that they plan to move the location of the scanner might have surprised you.

Over the past year, Vivo have launched some great phones all of which have the same rear fingerprint scanner location and uber fast fingerprint security feature (not just fast but accurate too).

For the new X7 though Vivo have done something different and moved the rear fingerprint scanner to the front under an oval button located on the chin of the phone. The design looks a lot like the OnePlus 3, and current Oppo phones, which is not surprising as these 3 brands are all related.

Gizchina News of the week

The leaked image shows the Vivo X7 under a case to protect it, but even camouflaged we still see some other interesting details. For example the areas on either side of the button are open suggesting standard Andaroid ‘back’ and ‘menu’ buttons.

Also on screen we can see the Vivo X7 will feature an octal ore MSM8976 chipset from Qualcomm, better known as the Snapdragon 652. And finally the phone will run Vivo’s Funtouch ROM based on an Android 5.1.1 build.

Other leaked features of the Vivo X7 include a front facing 16  mega-pixel camera, front LED flash, metal body, and around 4GB RAM.
