LeEco shuts down one of its service centers in China, things don’t look good

Yepp, things are not looking good for the once upon a time innovative LeEco as the latest news mention that the company has serious troubles – once again.

leeco

In case you don’t remember, LeEco faced a lawsuit recently by a Chinese ad agency for non-payment of marketing fees, and recently laid off about 50% of its workforce trying to stay afloat in the market. That’s why they have also stopped releasing new smartphones during the past few months and information regarding their future projects is non-existent. Things are even worse however, as the company seems to be shutting down some of its mobile phone service centres across China.

Gizchina News of the week

Earlier today an internet user uploaded a photo of a notice posted on the door of one of LeEco’s third-party service centres located in Shanghai, mentioning that the specific service center has been suspended due to operational adjustments and that the shop no longer accepts LeEco phones.

Add this to a purported letter sent  by a LeEco phone repair station to a fan mentioning that the repair station has no spare parts to fix his phone, as the manufacturer hasn’t provided any, for months now! Things don’t look good for LeEco as you can understand but we truly hope that the once vibrant company will be able to pull through and re-emerge in the market.

So, from a company doing fabulous things, including cars, and seemingly going large (or trying to) in US, to this. In barely 2 years.

I believe a part of journalism should start venturing into nitty-gritty profit and loss accounting for these companies. Something like this doesn’t just happen overnight.

Because the CEO shouldn’t be paid anymore when the company isn’t getting a profit? Why would he not be paid anymore and any other worker (which in total cost substantionally more) would still be paid? I really hate this shortsighted view of CEO’s nowadays. What do you think CEO’s get bonusses (or don’t if they result in a loss) for?

not when the CEO uses company’s money to buy himself giant houses while laying off employees and asking others to be patient, their salaries will eventually fall in some months… This company is trash. They only brunt investors money and did nothing with it besides few phones that have nothing extraordinary, few TVs, they bought the Arena in Beijing… wasted everything, everywhere. The CEO managed his company like a kid plays with his toys. But toys don’t have family nor kids to send to schools. Fuck Leeco, I am only sorry for employees laid off without considerations.

CEO gets a bonus for profit….
CEO gets a bonus for (minimizing) loss
CEO gets a bonus for reorganization
CEO gets a bonus always for whichever reason….
The employees bite the bullet in bad times…..
and in good times….they get a ‘small attention’ to keep them happy. But in the end….they just loose…

In total it costs more but Per capita or importance no where close. This CEO, like the majority of CEO’s drove this company into extinction which is going to hurt the economy since those employees won’t be able to put back into the economy. The average CEO is shit.
