RedMagicOS 12 Dates Are Out: When Does Your Phone Get It?

RedMagic has published the upgrade schedule for RedMagicOS 12, and owners of the RedMagic 11 series will not wait long. On October 23, the company said the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series will get the update first, starting in December 2026. Other devices follow through April 2027. IT Home reported the announcement. RedMagic says the update arrives in batches, so not every owner will see it on day one.

December 2026 is for the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11S Pro series. In January 2027, the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro follows. March 2027 covers the RedMagic 10 Pro and 10S Pro series, the RedMagic 11 Air and the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. The RedMagic 10 Air comes last, in April 2027. RedMagic asks users who do not see the update to be patient, since it reaches phones in groups.

The system debuted with the RedMagic 12 Pro+. RedMagic’s own list starts with a new “ultra-futuristic” look and a giant clock. It adds an AI layer with an AI Magic Island, a memory function and a new assistant. A file-sharing tool also works with Apple devices through one-touch transfer. For games, there is a space that changes with each game’s theme, plus an esports training area with shooting and reaction mini-games. X-Gravity 3.0 covers cloud gaming, console streaming and connecting to larger screens. These descriptions come from RedMagic’s marketing, so real gains are untested. It is also not clear which features older phones will receive.

RedMagic’s software policy promises two major Android updates and three years of security support from launch. That policy starts with the RedMagic 11 Pro, so older models fall outside it, yet they are still on this schedule. Owners of the 10 Pro series and the 11 Air wait until March, about three months after the first group. The 10 Air waits until April, about four months after the first group. That is a fair wait for a flagship-priced gaming phone.

The announcement reported by IT Home covers the China schedule. RedMagic has not said whether global versions of the 11 Pro and 11S Pro will get RedMagicOS 12 in December as well. The global 11 Pro launched in November 2025, and the 11S Pro followed in May 2026. Owners outside China can check RedMagic’s update pages for current software builds.
