Huawei has opened the
HarmonyOS 7 Pollen Beta for a new group of older phones and tablets. Pollen Beta is Huawei’s fan beta, open to ordinary users, not only developers.
IT Home reported the news on October 23. The group includes the
nova 13, nova 12, nova Flip,
Enjoy 70X and MatePad Pro models.
Which Devices Are Included
The list covers the nova 13 and 13 Pro, and the nova 12, 12 Pro, 12 Ultra and 12 Ultra Starry edition. It also includes the nova Flip S and nova Flip, the Enjoy 70X and its Premium edition, the MatePad Pro tablets and the MatePad 11.5-inch S 2024 models. Newer phones are already ahead of these in the queue.
How the Rollout Works
HarmonyOS 7 launched at Huawei’s developer conference on June 12. Newer phones like the Mate 80, Pura 90 and nova 16 got the update first. The stable release for that first batch began on September 28. Older devices follow in stages, and this beta is part of that plan. A beta can have bugs, so owners who depend on their phone every day should think twice before joining.
What HarmonyOS 7 Brings
Huawei says the system focuses on a new “spatial aesthetics” look and the Harmony Intelligence architecture. It also includes Xiaoyi, a system-level AI agent. The announcement does not say whether these older models will get every feature. Older hardware often receives a reduced version of new software, so expectations should stay modest until testers report back.
The 90 Million Milestone
Huawei says its devices have passed 90 million, up from 85 million announced in September. It expects to pass 100 million in the fourth quarter. These are Huawei’s own figures, and they cover devices running the recent versions of the system. The schedule applies to China. The sources do not give a global timeline for HarmonyOS 7, so readers outside China should not expect the beta soon.
