Xiaomi has
launched a new power bank with a 25,000mAh battery and up to 250W of combined output. Called the Xiaomi Power Bank Pro 25000, it can charge three devices at once and has a built-in USB-C cable, so you do not need to carry an extra lead.
The new power bank is now available in China
through Xiaomi Youpin for 999 yuan (about $140). It also has a hidden color screen that shows useful details about charging and battery health.
Three ports deliver up to 250W
The Xiaomi Power Bank Pro 25000 uses two USB-C connections and one USB-A port. One USB-C connection comes as a built-in 70cm cable, which supports up to 140W. The second USB-C port also reaches 140W, while the USB-A port supports up to 120W.
The total output across all three connections reaches 250W. This is the combined limit, not the power available from a single port. The actual speed will depend on the devices you connect and how the power bank shares its output.
This setup makes the power bank useful for people who carry a laptop, tablet and phone. You can charge all three from one unit instead of looking for separate chargers and power outlets.
A color screen shows charging details
One of the more useful features is the hidden color display. It shows the remaining battery level, charging or discharging power, temperature and battery health. You can check these details without opening an app.
The power bank also measures 163.8 x 58.3 x 46.2mm. That gives it a compact, rectangular shape, although its 25,000mAh capacity still makes it larger than a basic phone power bank.
The built-in cable is another welcome addition. It is long enough for everyday use at a desk, and it removes the need to carry a separate USB-C cable in your bag.
Price and availability
Xiaomi has priced the Power Bank Pro 25000 at 999 yuan (about $140) in China. It is available through the Xiaomi Youpin platform, but the company has not confirmed a global launch or international pricing.
The 250W output is the headline feature, but the built-in cable and display may prove more useful in daily life. For anyone who regularly charges several devices away from a wall outlet, Xiaomi's new power bank looks like a practical upgrade. We will have to wait for a global release before knowing how much it will cost outside China.
