Rockchips R-Box Google TV Running Android 2.3 With Wiimote


There currently aren’t many Google TV boxes here in China, but it looks like it’s a possible market ready to explode in a cloud of Yuan! Lenovo have already made their intentions known with regards to online TV and now Rockchips are getting in on the act.

The R-Box, as the Rockchips Google TV is branded runs a customized version of Android Gingerbread aka Android 2.3, and is capable of browsing the web, playing games, video chat and believe it or not…. watching TV shows and movies!!

The little black R-Box box has plugs for Ethernet, and USB’s meaning you can enjoy streaming services from YouTube, Youku and Tudou as well as play meida from USB thumb drive.

Best of all though is the Nintendo Wii style Wiimote controller which allows users to browse the web, navigate the Android system and play games.
