HP Planning ‘One Last Run of Touchpads’?


It’s of no surprise that the now discontinued $99 HP TouchPad has been selling like hot cakes lately, but what is surprising are rumors that HP’s short lived tablet is not yet dead, and there could be a small resurrection.

The rumor comes from a HP exec who either has some secret insider knowledge or is trying to build some confidence in himself due to his gloomy job prospects.

It is unlikely that HP are planning to make more Touchpads, unless they have a surplus of TouchPad components they need to shift quickly. HP themselves are now even responding to Touchpad enquires implying there are no more TouchPads and are even offering customers Tablet/Printer combo’s on the cheap with free apps as an alternative:
