Beidou Launches World’s Cheapest $110 Dual Core Android ICS Phone

China is the place to be if you are a smartphone fan with 3 new models from large Chinese tech companies launched this week along (more on those in a later post). The one which caught our attention though is the $110 Dual Core Little Pepper phone from Beidou!

Beidou are known for their popular E-commerce site in China, but like Taobao (Alibaba) they have decided to take the leap in to the thriving Android smartphone phone market with their all new Little Pepper Android phone.

Not only does the Beidou Little Pepper happen to sport one of the most original names of any Chinese smartphone, but it also struts about with a rather impressive specification and super low price!

Just how good is the Little Pepper’s hardware? Well how about a 1GHZ dual core CPU to start with, running the most up to date version of Android, Android 4.0 Ice-cream sandwich, throw in a large 4 inch touch screen, dual sim support, 3G, 5 mega pixel rear camera and a front video chat camera and you have the makings of a very impressive phone!

What makes the Little Pepper even more impressive is the fact that this is a big brand smartphone, not a locally produced knock off or Shanzhai product, yet it only cost 699 Yuan which converts to a very wallet friendly $110!
