With just a few weeks until the WCDMA version of the Snapdragon 800 Xiaomi Mi3 goes on sale, rumours have started circling that a ‘youth’ version of the phone may also be offered with S600 chipset!
Xiaomi kicked off the idea of offering a ‘youth’ version of it’s flagshipphone a few years ago with the launch of the M1 Youth. Basically the idea is to take the flagship model, replace a few of the parts with lower spec/cheaper alternatives and offer it at a slightly lower price.

And if it is priced lower than 300 bucks (which is likely), it can easily become a Nexus 5 alternative.
