LOL, whoever dubbed this “the first true smartwatch” obviously is unaware of the “Neptune Pine” smart watch. Since I’m using Boost Mobile, it’s not an option for me. REALLY LIKE THE DESIGN OF THE PINE THOUGH =) Almost perfect in my opinion… Excellent capabilities & features.
Funny thing is I haven’t noticed this site do an article on the Neptune Pine, “yet”… I’m sure they’re aware of its existence… Makes you wonder right?
These Android watch phones have been on the market for several years now. Also if the Omate listed on fleabay is the same one mentioned in this article, then someone is fibbing. They are listing it as only having 512MB’s of RAM. The Pine has been in R&D for years, before it actually was brought to market. Non Android based cell phone watches from China have been sold on fleabay for even longer…. What’s your point… For the money being asked on the bay for the Omate, seems a bit high. The “Rock” 2″ Android smart watch can be bought for under $200 and has all the same features. If I’m going to spend $300-400 on an Android based watch phone with all the bells and whistles, the Neptune Pine would hands down be my first choice…. Go over the spec’s on it if you have the time to spare, it’s pretty nice…
