Meizu planning to launch high-end earphones

Rumour has it that Meizu are working alongside Japan’s Final Audio to produce a new pair of luxury earphones.

Codenamed the Meizu EP80, the new earphones are believed to be based on Final Audio’s Heaven S with a flat cable design, and stainless steel speaker frame capable of handling lower frequencies with less distortion and SNR of up to 112db. Meizu started out life as an MP3 player manufacturer and hopes to rekindle some of that audio fame with the EP80 range, but they won’t e cheap with prices thought to be around $225 once launched.
