Video: When the OnePlus One takes a dip in a puddle of water…

The OnePlus One promises an amazing value for your money, with a starting price of just $299. With many of the internals being top-of-the-line, one can’t help but assume OnePlus cut corners in places not visible to the naked eye. However, this ‘water dip test’ (or whatever you choose to call it) proves otherwise.

As seen in the video, GadgetGuruHD gives the $299 smartphone a torturous time, dipping the phone in puddles of water numerous times after having it drenched in rain. The result is surprising and welcome at the same time; the OnePlus One holds up to the torture very well, almost unscathed.

This really makes us wonder if OnePlus have some sort of waterproofing done on the inside for the One? Even though the company isn’t one which would keep something like this under wraps, it could well be possible that the One comes with a nano-coating of sorts (akin to the ultra cheap Moto E, perhaps).

We certainly did not expect the phone to do as well as it did in wet conditions. Are you as (happily) surprised as us? Let us know in the comments section below!

For all the sleaze games (asking one to spam friends) the OnePlus company is playing, that is what their phone is worth!

I did not expect it from them to adopt such underhanded tactics. Does not go well for a startup, especially that made so much hype.
