5-inch iOcean X8 mini spy photos break cover

iocean x8 mini

If like many you love the look of the Gorilla Glass sandwich that is the iOcean X8 but find the size too big, then you are going to love the iOcean X8 mini!

Mini isn’t really a fair name for the smaller phone as it still packs a 5-inch display making it about average size in the grand scheme of things. Currently the only available photo (posted by GizChina.it) shows the mini with a white front, and we can see on the sides it seems construction is slightly different.

Gizchina News of the week

The changes continue on the inside of the iOcean X8 mini with a quad-core MT6582 processor and 1GB RAM pushing images around on the 720p display. There is also 32GB of memory but no mention of dual-sim support of of a micro SD slot, OTG is confirmed though.

Camera specs are a 2 mega-pixel up front and 8 mega-pixel rear. The rest of the hardware remains undisclosed and we have yet to learn if the iOCean X8 mini will have 4G LTE.

Is the iOcean X8 mini what you are looking for in a mid-range Mediatek phone? Or does it depend on the price?

They already have the iOcean X7 HD with 5 inch, mt6582, 720p screen.
This doesn’t really differ from that except the design, wich from the X7 (HD) is better if I could choose.

I guess they will replace the X7 HD with this phone

I love my X8 because of the large screen, therefore I’m not that much interested in X8 mini (and I already have a X7 too).
Please iOcean, come with a better X8 (LTE?) instead 😛
