DOOGEE are releasing a new entry-level phone at just $80 for young smartphone users.

The DOOGEE DG280 is a colourful Android smartphone, available in bright designs and with a chunky funky body. All out performance isn’t what the DG280 is about, but rather keeping young phone users connect on a budget.

Specifications don’t come with many surprises and look similar to many low-end phone from this year and include a 1.3Ghz quad-core MT6582 chipset, 1GB RAM, dual sim and micro SD. So far we are unsure of the screen size and resolution.

Gizchina News of the week

The phone itself looks good, and would be a good entry in to the Android One field for DOOGEE, but as far as we know it will launch with a custom version of Android 4.4 Kitkat.

DOOGEE plan to launch the DG280 in January.

Why you say that. It’s cute, but there is no red, pink, yellow option for a lady.

For an $80 phone I think it looks very nice and knowing Doogee it will probably be offered in Yellow, Black and White as well.

Screen size will be under 720 most likely 540 like every other budget phone on the market. It will probably have 4-8GB ROM, 2mp front, 5 or 8 mp rear. Doogee does make excellent devices though so build quality should be top notch.

I really believe will be qHD and for the render, I can tell you maybe 4.5inches, if yes this will make the qHD a good choice anyway for size and battery. Great phone for that price!

based on the render 4.5 looks about right.
