OnePlus team up with Swiftkey

A lot is going on with OnePlus and their ROMs, we have seen Lollipop teasers and now an official announcement that SwiftKey will be adopted by the company.

Swiftkey is one of the most popular 3rd party keyboards for Android devices. The keyboard allows users to quickly swipe across the keyboard to spell out words rather than typing, and can be a very fast input method once you have mastered it.

Gizchina News of the week

As SwiftKey was one of the top keyboards Android, and OnePlus users were opting for, OnePlus have moved ahead and struck a deal to include the keyboard in the next OnePlus One software update later this month.

We can also expect to see OnePlus offer SwiftKey as an option in their own Android Lollipop ROM too.

But it’s free from the Play Store anyway… Has been for a while, I understand that there are in app purchases but I doubt that OnePlus will be unlocking any if that for us..?

Agreed. There’s Google Keyboard has steadily improved over the years, and now there’s little reason for 3rd party keyboards.

I’m using touchpal on my MX4 and I’m satisfied but haven’t used many different ones tbh… just the normal stuff my phones used to give me.
