Huawei’s new smart band has LTE


Huawei have announced a new smart band with LTE, but what could the 4.5g connection be actually used for?

In smartphones and tablets, LTE is used for faster cellular data connection to access cloud services and the internet, but in the latest Huawei smart band a 4.5g connection is especially used for keeping fitness and heart rate details up to date.

The use of 4.5g also means the that more accurate fitness information even without being connected to a smartphone.

Huawei’s other smart band has a 1.4-inch OLED display, NFC an Bluetooth, and the new model should deliver similar specs. Expect Huawei to have more 4.5g tech on show at MWC.

    All I need is a smartband that unlocks my phone and shows my notifications… don’t really need the fitness crap lol. The MiBand has the unlock feature but lacks notifications… still waiting for a band that will do this.

    And I don’t need a smartwatch since I wear mechanical watches >.<
