Elephone P7000 $159.99 flash sale reservation starts tomorrow!

elephone p7000

Elephone’s flagship P7000 will be available through a flash sale reservation starting tomorrow at the incredibly low-price of $159.99. Full details after the jump.

The Elephone P7000 Pioneer has been a very long time coming. We first saw details of this flagship Mediatek phone at the start of the year and now finally, after a few changes, the phone is going on sale.

Details for the Elephone P7000 include a 5.5-inch FHD display, 3GB RAM, LTE, rear fingerprint scanner, Mediatek MT6752 processor and 13 mega-pixel main camera. Lollipop out of the box sweetens the deal.

As we reported earlier in the month, a pre launch reservation sale will begin tomorrow (25th April), with the P7000 coming in at an amazing $159.99 for a limited time only.

Gizchina News of the week

To take part in the flash sale you will need to follow the steps below;

  1. Head over to the Elephone.hk website from 9am (GMT 0:00) 25th April to 10 May.
  2. Enter your details and wait for your ‘ELE’ code to arrive.
  3. On the 11th May ‘ELE’ code holders will be able to buy the Elephone P7000 for only $159.99, but it will be a first come first serve deal with limited stocks.

Anyone who is familiar with Xiaomi’s F code method of selling will understand how the Elephone sale will work.

So will you be taking part in this intro offer? We hope to receive a review sample of the P7000 in the next week or so.

No I won’t be participating. Too many other great phones are available now. If Elephone had their act together and launched this thing way back when they announced it, it might have been a “leader” – now it’s just another ho-hum Elephone and really doesn’t differentiate itself from what’s out in the market now.

I feel they’ve killed the P7000 already by announcing their plans to bring at least 2 new 4 GB RAM models to market in the (maybe) May and June time frame. I suspect these recent announcements from Elephone are merely a “stall for time” tactic. Other manufacturers are actually delivering the phones they announce. Elephone have lost credibility with the “international flagship buyers” – too many undelivered promises! I suspect they will continue to lose market share as disappointed customers move to other, already available options.

Good luck to those that do enter the lottery though!

Yah totally agree… look at the spec they had for P6000 after selling to the market they announce they made a mistake in the spec and removed them…..
I also gave up on them.

There is still the IMX135 / IMX 214 sensor issue…will this 159.99 deal involve the IMX135 being installed on the device?

Besides..when I look at it, it the specs aren’t any different than..a Ecoo E04. When you don’t need the fingerprint you can go for the Jiayu S3 as well..not much price difference. Ecoo & Jiayu are much cheaper when the discount is over.

    • Rob
      April 24, 2015

I was looking at the Ecoo but the poor camera reviews has pushed me away from it. Regarding the Elephone, It is my firm belief that they will use this presale to shift a load of the IMX135 specced devices. Still think that the Jiayu is the best option at this price/spec level at this moment in time.

      • Jeep ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ
        April 24, 2015

I’ve read only bad things about the Jiayu S3’s camera. Personally I am really happy with the camera quality of the Ecoo E04 but I won’t advise mobile phone camera’s to make professional photo’s just yet.

        • Rob
          April 24, 2015

That’s the problem, the more reviews you read the less certain you become about a phone! Everyone has their own opinion, heard the meizu note had only average camera, may look at the meizu mx4 now.

        • balcobomber25
          April 24, 2015

From what I have heard from people who actually own the S3 it’s the Jiayu software that is the problem. Change out the default camera software and the camera is much better.

      • Marco Lancaster
        April 24, 2015

Jiayu S3 has a very nice camera for pictures. But for now, the video recording is suffering some issues like over sharpening everything. By the way each updated Released by Jiayu the video recording becomes better.

          April 24, 2015

Is the camera on J S3 really good now?I did see the review on Gizchina and was expecting much more(could have shelled bit more)..waiting for that all perfect phone…Guess it has to be Vivo Xshot 2…LG G4 also but its gonna be costly like hell so thats out of box for me.

    • Mik
      April 25, 2015

can you explain what the issue with the imx135 was? Did they do this before?

      • Steve B
        April 25, 2015

There is a caveat note on their website that they have run out of IMX214 so ‘some’ phone will come with the (older) IMX135 module. So either pot luck or all will have IMX135.

        • balcobomber25
          April 26, 2015

IMX135 is still a very good camera.

    • Josef Izchaki
      April 26, 2015

i agree with both the Jiayu S3 and Ecoo E04 being just as good, but unfortunately they do not have the 950/1900 Mhz 3G bands which are needed for North America.

Smartphone is highly competitive market, and Elephone may grab the cake of other brands. Elephone’s products are low cost with high specs and variety custom ROMs. More customers give the brand credit and bought their phones because of these advantages. Recently, I paid close attention to Elephone. And I found that too many comments are so unfair to Elephone. They’re so picky about Elephone and totally ignore the good price, competitive hardware and software choices.
Keep it up, Elephone. I’m waiting for the Pioneer reservation.

    • Jeep ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Reservations opened at 10:00 BST 09:00 GMT put my reservation in straight away. Last time I looked 10:30 BST over 8000 people already registered. This registration does not enforce you to buy but allows you to go into the pot to be able to buy on May 11th

  14. Chris
    April 25, 2015

This is hilarious. Within 30 minutes around 8000 elecode reservations have been made.
First I tried PanwaWill, but the site is pretty much on it’s knees. So try again with another email address, this time I selected 1949deal as my reseller. I was then redirected to some aliexpress shop that had the following encouraging news for anyone hoping to score one of the $159 phones:

From, 13th May, we will provice 2 pcs P7000 with $159.99 every Wednesday.

  15. Don Rogers
    April 25, 2015

I registered twice the first time I selected coolicool as the preferred online store and the process directed me to the coolicool website. The price was $229.00 so I registered a second time and selected PandaWill as the online store was directed to a page where you can order and pay $159.00 plus delivery and insurance total $182.61. The insurance 10% is to cover import duties. Paid by PayPal so hopefully if they do not deliver the right product at the right price I get my money back.

I also made a reservation, it redirected me to gearbest store…and
then…what should I do? Should I register on gearbest…or wait until
the 11th May? I got no confirmation on the email I provided them:(

      • Don Rogers
        April 25, 2015

I got no confirmation from Elephone or coolicool but got confirmation of order from Pandawill for the p7000 at $159.99. I think that what is supposed to happen is that you register with the online store that you wish to buy on the 11th May at $159.99 but it would seem that lots of the online stores are not setup to do this properly. It’s a farce. One of the online stores is the Elephone store itself try registering with a different email address and see what happens when you select elephone store or Pandawill

      April 26, 2015

I registered twice both occasions I was asked to choose an online reseller then directed to a page on each of the resellers website, on Pandawill I was directed to a webpage that let me order and pay the $159.99 for the P7000. I have not received any codes or any other info from Elephone

  20. Suskind
    April 27, 2015

P7000’s real price is $229.99, even though they advertise it as $159.99 on every Wednesday and limited quantity, but they don’t indicate the specific limits. elephone is cheating on us! Its dealer ELE is selling the phone at $159.99, but the shipping cost is $70! What a blackmail! All the other merchandises in this store are shipping-free. This is a cunning company, I will not believe it anymore!
