New Coolpad IVVI released! 4.9mm thin and Amoled Display

With the IVVI (Coolpad sub brand name) the company tries to be “cool” and looks forward to establish their name on market, leaving the puns aside, the Coolpad IVVI is a trendy device with a super slim case design of 4.9mm. Theres also room for a 5-inch 2.5D panel with an Amoled Display.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 410, SoC present in some budget devices as the Xiaomi Redmi 2, the great news is that the device comes with 2GB of Ram, giving enough multitasking for all tastes. The phone also counts with a 8MP main camera, However there are some details about the device that are quite disappointing.

Gizchina News of the week

In the quest for ever-thinner devices, one of the most sacrificed parts of a phone is the battery. And the IVVI will not be an exception with only 1900mAh battery. The phone also comes with Android 4.4.4 while some companies are busy to grant Android 5.1 for their devices.

The price of the device, also can be very frustrating, the phone costs 1999 Yuan in china, about $322, placing the device in a price range where there are far better competitors.

It isn’t a record, is it? I remember a phone 4.75 mm thin.

Vivo X5 is 4.75 and Oppo R5 is 4.85, both thinner. And then there is the Gionee S7 which is 5.5 but comes with the excellent 6752 SoC and a 2700mAh battery. When you get below 6mm they all feel the same in the hand.

Does it still have a 3mm jack?

Its the dumbest thing you can do, sacrifice one of the most essential parts of a smartphone just to make it unessential thin.
some people called the Gionee E8 an Epic Fail with its price tag, well compared to that then this must be the GOAT Fails!!!

Speaking of Gionee they are one of the few companies that have figured out how to make thin phones that are still functional.

This is a joke, right ? 5 hour battery life, no processing power whatsoever. Do they really think people will pay so much just to have a thin phone ???
