Doogee Titan T3 boasts dual display and Vertu inspired styling

Doogee are taking a plunge in to the luxury phone market once again, this time with the Titan T3 with dual display, and metal leather construction.

When it comes to luxury phone design, I really like to stand well back and not really get involved. Personally I love the look of a regular well made smartphone like the Xiaomi Mi Note, or LeTV range, but others like the added luxury of stainless steel, leather and odd angular shapes.

To cater for the luxury phone jetset, Doogee are releasing the Titan T3, a phone that they feel can become a rival to cell phone maker Vertu!

Gizchina News of the week

The Titan T3 has a very distinctive design which features a leather rear panel which wraps over at the front bottom edge and polished metal sides and highlights.

The front of the phone features a 5-inch HD display and front facing camera with support for Iris security scanner, while the top edge of the phone boasts a second smaller display for showing the time and notifications.

2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and a Mediatek MT6735 should offer mid-range levels of performance, and the body is even claimed to be waterproof too!

Doogee will release the Titan T3 sometime in October.

This is uglier than the OPO 2! The only thing I like is novel display on the top which could be handy, assuming the software is able to really maximise the use of it.

Actually this time the design is pure “dandy” in my opinion look at the old titans phone that thing is really ugly
.Last year they tried to recreate the design pf vertu and failed miserably this year you can really misplace this as a real vertu this time the design is a lot sleeker

Knowing Doogee the software will be terrible and you’re left with a hideous phone and a display that doesn’t work

Mt6735 and HD screen don’t really shout luxury phone! I like the fact that it is different,…

The article header “dual display” is true but can cause a little bit of confusion

    It probably wasn’t possible

But if they moved that metal camera section up a bit so it was at the top
and changed the “design” of the leather (random bolts and lines =/= design, it should just look like a normal leather back)

this would actually be a great unique looking phone with an angular design and leather backing. Because it looks great and unique from the front and sides, esp with the second display but that back side just kills everything

Wow I wouldn’t even use this phone if it was given to me for free. This has got to be the ugliest phone ever, those white stitches on the back …

Funny… Everybody keeps crying that phone makers should use different designs in their phones and then for once its not an apple/samsung lookalike and everybody calls it ugly… People get out of your little box and try to think different! I actually like this design for once, and the top screen looks like a fun alternative for my alarm clock.

I just ordered my second Doogee DG700 because I lost my first one.

I you haven’t owned it and used for a few months, you don’t understand it.

Giant battery, water-resistant, insanely useful hardware flashlight button, tough construction and distinctive styling – good deal to get all of that for $122. So I just ordered another 3 nights ago.

If you’re a desk jockey it might not make sense. I work as a commercial offshore petroleum diver, mostly at night, so this is a great choice. Fits in a wet top coverall pocket (a 5.5″ will not), can get smacked hard, dropped, immersed, and you cannot kill that battery in a 12-hour shift.

Having the flashlight fire up in an instand due to a hardware button is a feaure you will sorely miss if you’ve had it before. And what else are you going to do with $125? I’ve seen so many guys trash iPhones. Plus, coworkers dig the styling and toughness. It’s purpose-built and fits the niche nicely. Other rugged phones are ugly rubber bricks – not for me. No style.

I will likely get *two* of these new Doogees. I think it looks awesome.

What else are you going to to? Get another mind-numbing 5.5″ Generiphone that looks like everything else?

Just hope they up the camera spec this time, the Titans 2 (DG700) takes blurry shots in low light. And the 6582 doesn’t have the greatest GPS…

Bring it on Doogee. Don’t the rest of you want to puke when you see four new 5.5″ Anotherphones every week? Where are the 7″ phones? Variety please.
