As you may all know, I am currently having a love affair with my LeTV Le 1, but the honeymoon period is over and we have had our first major issue.
From day one of opening the LeTV Le1 I have been amazed with the phone. For a company with no background in smartphone design and manufacture LeTV have done a stellar job of producing one of the best Chinese Android smartphones available on the market today. From build quality to ROM optimisation the LeTV Le 1 has continued to impress.
ROM updates have also impressed me too, with performance and bugs being ironed out with every OTA, well up until the latest that is.
Gizchina News of the week
I recently updated my LeTV Le1 to the latest available OTA version 5.0.004S (stable release) of the EUI ROM and since then have been having serious WIFI issues. WIFI still turns on but it refuses to stay connected. I have tested the WIFI at the office, home and out in various locations with the same results, at the same time my Xiaomi Mi Note and Macbook Pro remain connected without an issue.
Is anyone else suffering from the issue? I have already emailed my contact at LeTV and have submitted a bug report from the LeTV Le 1 from the “Feedback” application and recommend that anyone else with the issue do the same.
LeMax is already available in China.
Many phones were shipped to those who reserved during presale.
Check the LeTV Chinese forum and you can read many reviews and see photo samples. 😉
yup all the way from the USA 😀
@Andy: Ok! This is also suitable for Netherlands? I have one from China, liaow.com. can this be updated to int version maybe?
Yep it is, only keep in mind that most Dutch providers use band 20 and most Chinese phones like LeTV use band 3 and 7. For short this means that 4G only works on the 1800 and 2600mhz band and not 800. So you have to look which band your provider uses. When your using KPN then you can also use the 1800 and 2600 band but you won’t have as much 4G as you have on the 800mhz band 😉 Hopelijk begrijp je het 😉
Ik snap je! How is it with vodafone? They use 800? I have 4G in many places now
Mooi 😉 Just as with KPN Vodafone uses 3 “4G bands”. The 800, the 1800 and the 2600. Keep in mind the most important band is the 800 and the LeTV does not support the 800 band 😉
They launched their smartphones in USA?
Haven’t seen any news about it.
Any ideas about the supported FDD-LTE-frequencies?
Is there a spec. sheet available?
Thanks
I stay tune on OTA version 5.0.003S and will waiting other stable OTA 🙂 thx
